role summary

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) helps make sure UK businesses follow good rules and grow the economy.
This lawyer role helps give good legal advice on public and regulatory law.
You will support senior leaders like the Director of Legal Services and others.
You will work with the Legal Services Team to give clear and helpful advice.

key tasks

Give legal advice quickly and clearly on many public law issues.
Help senior people like the FRC Board with legal questions.
Manage your workload well and handle changes.
Work well with others in the team and the organisation.
Spot and help fix legal risks.
Work well with people inside and outside the FRC.

skills and experience

You must be a qualified lawyer in England and Wales.
You need good experience in public and regulatory law.
Be able to explain legal issues simply to different people.
Have good communication and teamwork skills.
Be organised and able to work on many tasks.
Have experience managing outside lawyers.
Want to learn about laws affecting the FRC.
It is good to have experience with legal work in public or regulatory jobs.
