role summary

Help the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) follow rules when buying goods and services.
Support the FRC by managing contracts and buying processes.
Make sure buying is done well and follows the law.

key tasks

Manage buying activities from start to finish.
Work with FRC staff and external suppliers.
Keep records and reports about contracts.
Look for ways to save money and make buying easier.
Help prepare and run tender (bidding) processes.
Support the Head of Procurement & Contracts.
Share knowledge with the procurement team.

skills and experience

Know how to manage buying and contracts.
Understand public sector buying laws and rules like PCR15 and PA23.
Good with computers, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Able to work well with others and manage relationships.
Have good attention to detail and problem solving skills.
Being part qualified or qualified in procurement (MCIPS) is good.

£ pay and hours

The job is based in Birmingham office.
You will work both from the office and from home (hybrid working).
