role summary

This is a free work experience for school students aged 15 or older.
It lasts one week from July 6, 2026, with up to 25 hours of work.
You will work at the Maes y Ffynnon office in Bangor.
Your job is to help sort, scan, and organise documents.
You will learn about records, data, and environmental work.

key tasks

Sort documents to keep or safely destroy.
Scan papers and reports to save digitally.
Help organise and prepare image slides for scanning.
Check document titles to make sure they are right.
Find and manage physical data so it is easy to find.
Learn new systems for records and data management.
Follow health and safety rules.

skills and experience

Want to learn how to use scanning equipment.
Pay attention to detail and be careful with data.
Interested in environmental topics and office work.
Can travel to and from the office by yourself.
Like to work with others and build confidence.

£ pay and hours

This is unpaid work experience.
You will work up to 25 hours during one week.
Working hours will be agreed before you start.

location and workplace

Work is at Maes y Ffynnon office in Penrhosgarnedd, Bangor.
The workplace is friendly and supportive.
You will meet a small team in the Digital, Data and Technology department.
