role summary

You will be a Commercial Director at the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS).
MaPS helps people make better financial choices.
You will work 4 days a month in Bedford.
You will lead how MaPS buys services and works with suppliers.
You will make sure money is spent well and risks are managed.
You will work with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

key tasks

Create and deliver plans for buying services and managing contracts.
Manage suppliers and contracts to get good value for money.
Make sure risks are identified and reduced.
Lead a strong and diverse commercial team.
Work with others at the top level of the company.

skills and experience

Have experience leading in complex organisations.
Know about public procurement (the process for buying services).
Be good at managing contracts and suppliers.
Be confident talking to senior managers and boards.
Be a good strategic thinker who likes to improve things.
Care about fairness, inclusion, and public service.

£ pay and hours

Work 4 days each month.
