You will be the National Data Guardian for Health and Care in England.
Your job is to keep health and care data safe and private.
You help make sure data is used in good ways to improve health and care.

Lead on health and care data safety and privacy.
Give official guidance on how data is used and shared.
Work with government, NHS, social care, researchers, and others.
Make sure public trust is kept in using personal data.
Help improve health services by using data responsibly.

Have strong experience in using sensitive health data safely.
Understand new health and care technologies.
Be a good leader and able to influence others.
Communicate well with patients, public, and leaders.
Be independent, trustworthy, and able to make good decisions.

£ pay and hours

You will be paid £63,000 per year.
You will work about 3 and a half days per week.
The job may last up to 3 years.

You will work with many groups across England.
The role involves talking to leaders in government and health care.
