role summary

Lead improvements in Health and Safety at Westminster City Council.
Help to keep over 3,600 staff safe at work.
Work with senior staff to create better training and safety systems.

key tasks

Review and improve Health & Safety management systems.
Design training and learning plans for staff.
Make sure safety rules like ISO 45001 and others are followed.
Focus on reducing risks and improving safety culture.
Balance safety needs with compliance and staff wellbeing.

skills and experience

Have experience with ISO 45001 and related safety standards.
Hold a health and safety qualification (EQF level 6 or higher).
Be a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Health & Safety.
Be an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
Understand emergency management and risk assessment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Passionate about safety and supporting staff wellbeing.

£ pay and hours

Salary from £56,436 to £76,872 per year, depending on experience.
Work 36 hours a week.
Permanent job contract.

Work at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London SW1.
