role summary

Work for Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
CIW checks social care and childcare services in Wales.
Your job is to inspect services to make sure they are safe and good quality.
Help improve services and keep people safe.
Report what you find to help make better rules and support.

key tasks

Check and manage a group of childcare and play services.
Visit services to inspect them and watch how people are treated.
Look for problems and risks and record them.
Work with other teams and share information.
Write reports and prepare legal actions if needed.
Help the team meet goals and share good ideas.
Keep up with new rules and ways to do the job.
Talk with people who use services and their carers.
Keep good records using computers.

Understand childcare and social care.
Good communication and report writing.
Can work well with others.
Able to manage your time and workload.
Willing to learn and develop professionally.

£ pay and hours

Pay is between £37,111 and £45,378 a year.
Extras: £4,535 allowance.
Full time job. Part time or job share can be considered.

location and workplace

Work base is in Llandudno, Wales.
You will work with the Childcare & Play Inspection Team.
