Lead the Independent Reconfiguration Panel (IRP).
Give advice to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.
Help decide on big changes in NHS services in England.
Work with panel members to review cases and evidence.

Make sure advice helps Ministers make good choices.
Stay updated on NHS policies and priorities.

Have strong leadership skills and senior job experience.
Be able to look at complex information and decide based on facts.
Communicate clearly and work well with others.
Know how NHS service changes are planned and managed.
Experience working with government and health groups is good but not needed.

£ pay and hours

£36,780 each year.
Work up to 2 days every week.
Attend about 4 meetings a year plus extra case work.
Appointment can last up to 4 years.
