role summary

You will design and build security automations to stop cyber attacks.
Work with the Incident Response team to improve how we respond to threats.
Create and test automated systems using Splunk software.
Teach and support junior engineers in the team.

key tasks

Work with the Incident Response team to find ways to improve.
Develop automations to detect and respond to threats.
Use big data and analytics to check automation works well.
Write documents about system changes following good practices.
Create new use cases to make the SOAR platform better.
Mentor junior team members and check their work before it goes live.

skills and experience

Know how to use Splunk and Splunk SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response).
Good at scripting and programming languages like Python and Java.
Understand cyber security and incident response.
Know about security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and NIST.
Experience with operating systems like Windows and Linux.
Knowledge of important security rules is helpful but not required.
