Are you looking for an opportunity to gain some work experience? Would you like to see what it's like to try out different jobs? We know it can sometimes be hard to find a job and volunteering isn't always practical or affordable, so Brave Island is really excited to have teamed up with a range of different organisations to offer a number of paid placements.

The Researcher Placement is a six-month opportunity hosted by The National Trust. Researchers are wonderfully curious people who enjoy searching for new knowledge and helping us understand the past, present and future a little better. We are looking for a young person to work with the team at the National Trust to find out more about the histories of people and places associated with the sites they look after as well as supporting the development of the new Community Hub at Mottistone.

This placement is open to those aged 18-25 at the start date of the placement. It is one day per week for 6 months and paid a stipend of £100/day. This placement is mostly based at National Trust's head office, on Strawberry Lane in Mottistone. Please read the information pack below for all the practical info.

Opportunity Date & Time

This placement starts at the beginning of March and finishes at the end of August. The day of the week and exact time will be agreed with you if you are selected for this role, as we will try and be accommodating of your schedule where possible, however it is likely to be on a Wednesday.
