Location: South Wales (Hyrbid Working)
Salary: Up to £45,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission

Our client, an established and growing Managed Services Provider, is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive new customer acquisition and recurring revenue across its IT and technology services portfolio.
This is a new business-focused role where you'll engage with SME and mid-market organisations, understand their technology challenges and develop solutions spanning Managed Services, Cloud, Cyber Security, Microsoft technologies, Telecoms, AI and Automation.
Rather than taking a traditional product-led sales approach, you'll act as a trusted adviser to business leaders, helping customers modernise technology, strengthen security and improve operational efficiency.
What you'll do
- Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities across SME and mid-market organisations
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers
- Generate new recurring revenue across Managed Services, Cyber Security, Cloud, Microsoft 365, Modern Workplace and Telecoms
- Run discovery meetings, workshops, presentations and customer meetings
- Develop strategic account plans and relationships with senior decision-makers
- Manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting through to close
- Produce proposals, quotations and solution presentations
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline management and forecasting
- Attend networking events, exhibitions and customer meetings
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities as customer relationships develop
You'll work closely with technical, service and marketing teams to develop appropriate customer solutions and maximise new business opportunities.
What we're looking for
- 2-3+ years' Business Development experience within IT sales
- A proven track record of generating new business revenue
- Experience selling Managed Services, Microsoft 365, Azure, Cyber Security, Telecoms, Cloud Solutions or IT Support Services
- Strong consultative selling and discovery skills
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and business decision-makers
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Experience working with CRM platforms
- Full UK driving licence
Experience within an MSP, MSSP or IT consultancy would be particularly relevant. Knowledge of Microsoft Security, Cyber Essentials, AI, Automation, Digital Transformation or Microsoft Copilot would also be beneficial.
